KHALL bench
A collaboration by
Romain Luppi X Marie Jambers
proposed by Atelier Insolite EDITION
This bench in local white ash rests on metal legs sheathed in climbing rope. It embodies the meeting of two craftsmen and tells a story of know-how, wood, textiles, techniques and exchanges. Designed with a touch of boldness and poetry, it is the fruit of instinctive, authentic work.
Both functional and a work of art, this bench seems to defy gravity. Rope and ash, both symbols of connection, unite in an unexpected balancing act: the usually supple rope becomes the load-bearing element, while the dense, powerful wood appears light and airy.
With its Nordic lines and streamlined silhouette, this bench is a warm invitation to sit, dream and share great ideas over a cup of tea.
"L'GAUCHE" stool
the adventure continues
The L'Gauche stool is an extension of this lovely project. Conceived and produced by Atelier Insolite EDITION, it conveys the energies of our fellow climbing enthusiasts, who offered us their old climbing ropes, each marked by rock and carabiners.
This series is above all a nod to our friend Thibault, nicknamed “L'Gauche”, who left to conquer other summits and whose memory continues to inspire our creations. Some of the stools, sheathed in the rope that accompanied him on so many of his adventures, are reserved for his loved ones.
With this object, we wanted to bring a bit of the outdoors into our interiors. It's the red thread that maintains the link between heaven and earth, and makes us want to leave the comfort of our living rooms to set off on an assault on the Eiger. It's a reminder of memorable abseiling descents, firm friendships and joyous moments, forever suspended in time.
L'Gauche is a story of life, bonds and transmission. An object that evokes adventure, solidarity and the beauty of things shared.
